Even in organic clothing, hidden plastics are widely used in sewing thread, elastic, drawstrings, zippers, and stabilizers. Some of these plastic components are not recyclable and will outlast the user's lifetime. Those components are rarely listed on the labels. We are intentional and transparent about all the ingredients that go into the garment.
CHOOSING SLOW FASHION
At Tajka Studio, unless a garment is ordered, it will not be made. This eliminates resources trapped in dead stock, therefore preventing waste. All pieces are conceived with the intention to last many seasons both in quality and aesthetics. Each garment is designed, cut, and constructed by Tajka in her Los Angeles studio.
